Ilbert Manor is a 170 years old building that has been restored to a stunning heritage boutique hotel that is set in the charismatic Mussoorie hills, India. The Manor was built in 1840 by an Irishman which was later bought and upgraded by Sir Courtenay Ilbert known for the Ilbert Bill that led to the formation of the Indian National Congress and eventually to the freedom of India.
The Manor is painstakingly restored over a period of seven years and offers 14 sumptuous rooms and a multi cuisine restaurant.
The hotel prides itself for the warm personalized service we offer our guests. Each guest room has been named to reflect the original history capturing the nostalgia of the pioneers who discovered the magical hills of Mussoorie.
The old world feel of colonial architecture, teak flooring and beams that are 170 years old , create the perfect setting.
Ilbert Manor has 14 rooms and each room has been lovingly restored. All rooms are unique from one another and have been named after the people who are part of the history of Mussoorie. The suites have the fire places untouched and intact . Most rooms look out to the breathtaking Himalayan range.
